SCT-15 YANGON – BAGAN – Inle - Ngapali - Sittwe - YANGON
(13 DAYS/ 12 NIGHTS )
Day 1 : Yangon (Arrival)
Arrive
at the Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our assign guide and
transfer to hotel. Half-Day sightseeing to Bogyoke Aung San Market
(formerly Scott Market and it is a one – stop centre for shoppers.),
Chaukhtatkyi (colossal reclining Buddha image, built in 1907) and
sunset view at Shwedagon Pagoda (it is generally accepted that it
was founded during the lifetime of the fourth Buddha and one of the
wonders of the world, dating back over 2,500 years). Dinner at local
restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
DAY 2 : YANGON - BAGAN
After
breakfast at hotel, transfer to Yangon International Airport for
Bagan by domestic flight ( about one and half hours ). On arrival at
Nyaung – Oo Airport, transfer to Hotel. After check in hotel,
proceed to Nyaung – Oo local market and continuing with sightseeing
to the most interesting pagodas and temples including Shwezigon
Pagoda ( the prototype of later Myanmar stupa built by King
Anawrahta in 11th century and also Shwezigon is known as the site
where the 37 nats( spirits ) were first officially endorsed by the
Burman monarchy ), Wetkyi-in Gubyakkyi Temple ( built in 13th
century, Indian style ‘cave temple’ with the fine frescoes of scenes
from the jatakas ), Htilominlo Temple ( one of the larger temples of
Bagan, noted for its plaster carving still remain on the arch
pediments, frieze and pilasters and the horoscopes of important
personages inscribed high up on the walls ) and visit to lacquerware
handicraft workshop. Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, sightseeing to Ananda Temple ( seems like a magic cave
full of wonders, an architectural masterpiece of the early – style
temple and there is also a vast collection of green glazed
terracotta plaques ), Thatbyinnyu ( Towering above the other
monuments of Bagan, the magnificence in white which is takes its
name from the Omniscience of the Buddha ) and Dhammayangyi Temple (
one of the most massive temples of Bagan, also noted for its fine
brickwork and the temple can be seen from quite a distance from all
directions ). Enjoy the beautiful sunset view at one of the famous
temples. Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day : 3 Bagan – Mount Popa - Bagan
After
breakfast at hotel, excursion to Mt.Popa ( said to be the core of an
extinct volcano last active 250,000 years ago. And also considered
the abode of Myanmar’s most powerful nats( spirits ) and as such is
the most important nat worship centre ) by car. After excursion,
drive back to Bagan. Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, proceed to the countryside village of Minnanthu and
continue sightseeing to some of the most interesting temples and
pagodas such as Lawkananada Pagoda, Dhammayazika Pagoda and Sulamani
Temple. Enjoy the beautiful sunset view at Bupaya ( a landmark for
travelers along the Ayeyarwaddy river ). Dinner at local restaurant
and Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
DAY 4 : BAGAN - HEHO – PINDAYA – INLE LAKE
After
breakfast at hotel, transfer to Bagan International Airport for Inle
by domestic flight to Heho in Shan state. On the way proceed to to
Pindaya. Visit magnificent Pindaya Caves, set in a limestone ridge
overlooking a picturesque lake, where thousands of different types
of Buddha images are on display in the various cave chambers. Visit
some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols.
Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, continue to Inle lake ( 22 km long, 11 km wide, 1328
meters above sea level, it has dead calm waters dotted with patches
of floating vegetation and busy fishing canoes and high hills rim
the lake on both sides and also the lake is famous for its unique
one-leg rowers, floating villages and colourful markets ). Dinner at
local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Inle Lake.
DAY 5 : INLE LAKE
After breakfast at hotel, morning visit to
Nam-Pan Village. Than proceed to Ywa-Ma village ( gold and silver
smiths workshop ), Paung Daw Oo Pagoda ( the most famous pagoda in
Shan State ), Jumping Cat monastery and floating market.
Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Inle
Lake.
DAY 6 : INLE LAKE – HEHO- NGAPALI BEACH
After
breakfast at hotel, transfer to Heho Airport, for Ngapali Beach by
domestic flight to Thandwe in Rakhine state. On arrival, transfer to
Ngapali Beach ( the most famous, beautiful and sumptuous beach in
Myanmar with clear blue water and clean long stretches of white
sand, backed by lush cocoanut palms ).
Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and Over night at Hotel in
Ngapali Beach.
DAY 7 : NGAPALI BEACH
After breakfast at hotel, Day at leisure. Lunch
and Dinner at local restaurant and Over night at Hotel in Ngapali
Beach.
DAY 8 : NGAPALI BEACH -THANDWE
After breakfast at hotel, visit to Thandwe .
Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and over night at Hotel in
Ngapali Beach.
DAY 9 : NGAPALI BEACH - Sittwe - Mrauk U
After
breakfast at hotel, transfer to Airport for Sittwe by domestic
flight. On arrival at Sittwe Airport, capital of Rakhine State.
Arrive at Sittwe airport, transfer to jetty and 5 hour boat trip to
Mrauk U ( The Rakhine King founded Mrauk U in 1433 AD and once a
centre for one of Myanmar's most powerful kingdoms. ) by a private
boat. Lunch on board and enjoying crusing voyage up the Kalandan (
Kissapanadi ) River. In the evening, arrive at Mrauk U and proceed
to hotel. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at
Hotel in Mrauk U.
Day 10 : Mrauk U
After
breakfast at hotel, visit Wethali(Vesali) ( founded in the 4th
century ). Sightseeing includes the ruined City Wall, Defensive
Moat, Central Palace and the Great Image of Su Taung Pyae ( a 5
metre seated Buddha image which is said to have been carved out of
one piece of rock ). From Wethali, continue to Kyauktaw and visit
Mahamuni Buddha Image ( according to legend the original site of
Mandalay's famous bronze Buddha image ). Return to Mrauk-U. After
lunch, visit Museum which houses ancient stone slabs with
inscriptions and an interesting collection of Rakhine-style Buddha
images. Continue to most famous Shittaung Pagoda (The most complex
and well-preserved of the surviving Mrauk U temples and it was built
in 1535 AD by King Minbin, the most powerful of the Rakhine kings.
The name of the temple means " Shrine of the 800,000 images ". With
its thick walls, tiny windows and commanding views of the
surrounding area, the temple may have also served as a royal
fortress during times of attack. ), Andawthein ( Ordination Hall
with the lord Buddha's tooth relic ), Htutkanthein ( " Ordination
Hall " looks like a huge bunker from the outside. Simple dome-shaped
stupa and this temple is noted for the stone sculptures. ) ), Pitaka
Taik ( compact, highly ornate building and it was built in 1591 AD
as a repository for the Buddhist canon. The most distinguishing
features are its five-tiered roofline and beautifully decorated
east-facing entranceway. ), Laungbanpyauk Pagoda ( the octagonal
stupa, built in 1525 AD ), Sakyamannaung Pagoda ( this pagoda is
noted for the development of Mrauk U architecture ). Enjoy the
sunset at Shwetaung Hill. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and
overnight at Hotel in Mrauk U.
Day 11: Mrauk U-Sittwe
In the morning, transfer to jetty and proceed to
Sittwe by boat. In the late afternoon, arrive at Sittwe and check in
hotel. In the evening, visit Shwesandaw pagoda and stroll around the
town.
Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in
Sittwe.
Day 12 : Sittwe-Yangon
In
the early morning, visit morning fish market, see many kinds of fish
and study about the way of life of the fishermen. It is also a good
photo place. Breakfast and take leisure at hotel. In the afternoon,
transfer to Sittwe Airport for flight Yangon. Arrive at Yangon and
shopping at Bogyoke Aung San Market..Lunch and Dinner at local
restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
Day 13 : Yangon Departure
After breakfast, free time for leisure at Hotel.
Leave Yangon International Airport for departure flight to next
