SCT-07 Yangon – Bagan - Mt.Popa – Inle - Yangon (7 Days/ 6 Nights)
Day 01 : Yangon Arrival
Arrive at the
Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our assign guide and
transfer to hotel. Half-Day sightseeing to Bogyoke Aung San Market (formerly Scott Market and it is a one – stop centre for shoppers.), Chaukhtatkyi
(colossal reclining Buddha image, built in 1907) and
sunset view at Shwedagon Pagoda (it is generally accepted that it
was founded during the lifetime of the fourth Buddha and one of the
wonders of the world, dating back over 2,500 years). Dinner at
local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
Day 02 : Yangon-Bagan
After breakfast
at hotel, transfer to Yangon
International Airport for Bagan by domestic flight (about one and
half hours). On arrival at Nyaung – Oo Airport, transfer to Hotel.
After check in hotel, proceed to Nyaung – Oo local market and
continuing with sightseeing to the most interesting pagodas and
temples including Shwezigon Pagoda (the prototype of later Myanmar
stupa built by King Anawrahta in 11th century and also Shwezigon is
known as the site where the 37 nats(spirits) were first officially
endorsed by the Burman monarchy), Wetkyi-in Gubyakkyi Temple (built in 13th century, Indian style ‘cave temple’ with the fine
frescoes of scenes from the jatakas), Htilominlo Temple (one of
the larger temples of Bagan, noted for its plaster carving still
remain on the arch pediments, frieze and pilasters and the
horoscopes of important personages inscribed high up on the walls)
and visit to lacquerware handicraft workshop. Lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch, sightseeing to Ananda Temple (seems like a
magic cave full of wonders, an architectural masterpiece of the
early – style temple and there is also a vast collection of green
glazed terracotta plaques), Thatbyinnyu (Towering above the other
monuments of Bagan, the magnificence in white which is takes its
name from the Omniscience of the Buddha) and Dhammayangyi Temple (one of the most massive temples of Bagan, also noted for its fine
brickwork and the temple can be seen from quite a distance from all
directions). Enjoy the beautiful sunset view at one of the famous
temples. Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day 03 : Bagan - Mt. Popa
After breakfast at hotel, excursion to Mt.Popa
(said to be the core of an extinct volcano last active 250,000 years
ago. And also considered the abode of Myanmar’s most powerful nats(spirits) and as such is the most important nat worship centre). En
route visit to a village and observe the daily life of toddy palm
climbers. Afternoon drive back to Bagan and lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch, proceed to the countryside village of
Minnanthu and continue sightseeing to some of the most interesting
temples and pagodas such as Lawkananada Pagoda, Dhammayazika Pagoda,
Sulamani Temple, Lemysthna Temple, Payathonzu Temple and Bupaya (a
landmark for travellers along the Ayeyarwaddy river). Enjoy the
wonderful sunset view from boat on the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River.
Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day 04 : Bagan-Inle
In the morning, transfer to Bagan Airport for
Mandalay by domestic flight to Heho in Shan state. On arrival at
Heho Airport, transfer to Naung Shwe jetty by car. En route visit
ShweYan Pyay Monastery. Arrive at Inle Lake and check-in hotel by
boat. Inle Lake (22 km long, 11 km wide, 1328 meters above sea
level, it has dead calm waters dotted with patches of floating
vegetation and busy fishing canoes and high hills rim the lake on
both sides and also the lake is famous for its unique one-leg
rowers, floating villages and colourful markets). Afternoon, visit
traditional pure Silk Weaving Factory in Inphawkhon Village and
knife making by black-smith in Phekhon Village. Lunch and Dinner at
local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 05 : Inle
After breakfast at hotel, full Day sightseeing in
Inle Lake including 5 Day rotation market (if available) at one of
the village, Native's method of fishing, Gold and Silver smith
workshops at Ywama Village, cheroot and boat workshops in Nan Pan
Village. Continue visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda (housing five
sacred and almost shapeless Buddha images). Afternoon, visit Shan
shoulder bag weaving center, floating islands with vegetable farming
and Nga Phe Chaung Monastery (better known as "Jumping Cat
Monastery", a beautiful old teak building). In the evening, see the
village life and enjoy the sunset on boat in the lake. Lunch and
Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 06 : Inle-Yangon
In the morning, transfer to Heho Airport for
Yangon by domestic flight. On arrival, transfer to Hotel. Evening
sightseeing to Bogyoke Aung San Market (formerly Scott Market and
it is a one – stop centre for shoppers.), Sule Pagoda (over 2,200
years old, it is in the centre of downtown Yangon and for centuries,
it has been the focus of the city’s social and religious activity),
Mahabandoola Garden (built in 1868, formerly known as Fetch Square,
Victoria Park to commemorate Queen Victoria), Independence Monument
(built in 1950, 150 ft high) and City Hall (the colonial &
Burmese architectural style). Then proceed to stroll around China
town and fruits market. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant and
Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
Day 07 : Yangon Departure
After breakfast, free time for leisure at Hotel. Leave Yangon
International Airport for departure flight to next destination. |
